Dream Journal
Dream Journal – I thought some of my readers might enjoy a peek into my unconscious mind. I’m currently trying to determine the best way to do this. I wake up in the middle of the night, and make notes as quickly as possible, before the details slip away. I’m usually only half awake and hoping to return to slumber. This results in a kind of messy, stream of consciousness story or collection of images. I’m trying to decide whether to post them this way – raw, just as they came to me, or as cleaned up as I can make them. If you have a preference, drop me a note in the comments.
Nightmare: (no editing)
Ended up a company wide meeting in only my nightclothes and no one would explain why we were there or when we told about it
No one would listen to me
No one seemed disturbed I was only in my nightclothes
People seemed to be trying to get me fired
(or arrested when they passed me a joint and seemed to be trying to draw attention to me instead of helping me hide)
Dream - Some kind of weird trip with huge group: (no editing)
Staying in hotels with huge rooms that held several beds
Before we got there, driver had a puppy, too small to be alone, being attacked by octopi crawling up his leg, asked to take it with me driver said he didn’t trust me
Asked for puppy to visit my house explained fully fenced back yard someone said no, I was bummed
Then was in a crowded room hard to get through
Someone saved bed for us at last stop
Pictures from childhood
Dream - School maybe college: (no editing)
I was in class but the teacher was ill with the flu
She was complaining about how many students were sick her hair was very curly and frizzy
She had dark circles under her eyes and was holding a tissue up to her nose and she was wearing striped pajamas that looked to be so old, they were losing all their color
She asked for help to get to bathroom without leaking but clearly failed as class was abruptly cancelled
Then I was struggling to pick up all my things which almost seemed to be multiplying and none of which seemed like school things at all
I was barefoot for some reason and put on the wrong flip flop but I didn’t notice it wasn’t mine until I had it on
Then I got the right shoes but I was still packing up odd items into three disparate bags
And someone was chattering to me, a girl with dark skin and long black hair
I don’t remember what it was about, something or maybe someone we were supposed to be worried about
She wanted to help me carry my things and then I woke up
At first I didn’t even realize I had been asleep
